The Chronicles of Sarnia – Rocky the Snake

This episode of the Chronicles of Sarnia will feature Rocky the Snake.  But before we get to Rocky, here is an update on the baby front.  Baby is not here yet, but getting very close.  We started a baby pool.  Not the one you swim in, but rather the one you bet on.  Bets are anywhere from June 29 to July 4th and the winner gets the baby.

In the meantime she is enjoying the convenient built-in table.

Back to Rocky.  Rock snakes are taking over the world and we have one growing in Sarnia.  If you venture to the park under the bridge you will find Rocky.

Started by an anonymous person it captured the imagination of our city and new rocks are added daily.

We visited last week.

Today when we came to add our rock to the end of the snake, we found it grew.

A lot.

Here are some of our favorites.

Good advice.

These M&Ms cracked us up.

Peas definitely deserve a chance.

It would be an honor to include something to the rock snake. Have you and Tony contributed anything?

Much luck to mama with the delivery of her child. Getting close now. I’ll wait to see the tray table on Shark Tank.😊

Good luck and best wishes. Baby will come when baby is ready. Is baby ready yet? The snake is a fun idea. I wonder how long it will get?

    I would not quarrel
With a coral snake called Coral
Because its bite could kill me….

    But if one should attack
I’d not lack for rocks to fight back
If I had a rock snake named Rocky.

    😀

I love this. I am building a snake in the lot below my house as well. So long I think it is about 15 meters long. I’ll post a photo. Not as colorful as this one is, howeve. At least not yet!!!

And good luck to your daughter. It is any day now. I put my bet on July 1, Canada Day. Enjoy the new baby!

How exciting that the baby is almost here! I’ve never heard about these Rock snakes before, but I’m intrigued. There are some creative and crafty people in Sarnia! Why am I not surprised that you’ve returned to check on how much it’s grown!? Love it!

They seem to be popping up in communities all over the country. Such a fun project. We returned to add our own rock and will be back to check on the progress again. It’s one of our usual exploration spots anyway 🙂

Gosh I love this. We had a rocky snake here in a couple of parks in Niagara. They lasted for a couple of years during the pandemic, but then one day when we visited they had disappeared. It was a joy to see all the painted rocks at that time. These are fabulously creative and fun. Thanks for sharing the joy Margie! 🌸

We would love to hear from you!
